As a professional accountant, Gary Kapanowski has held various leadership roles such as the president of the Detroit Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. Gary Kapanowski tries to also give back to the community when he can by volunteering for Macomb Literacy Partners, and enjoys studying history. He also promotes a great program within the Lawrence Technological University Professional Development Center, where students learn about the Six Sigma and Balance Scorecard business models.
Gary Kapanowski’s expertise and hard work kept several important government agencies both compliant and operational. He played a major role in the performance of the aviation, advanced manufacturing and defense industry. He still holds an inactive security clearance. Gary Kapanowski was responsible for performing regulatory compliance auditing for several government agencies, which included the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Defense, the Defense Advanced Research Agency, the DCAA and ISO.
He always keeps up with the current Government Auditing Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations. Gary Kapanowski provided all three industries with unmatched accounting expertise and dedicated service throughout his eleven year tenure. He is proud to have been such a key player within each particular industry, and has received many awards and is highly-respected by all of his colleagues.
During his free time, Gary Kapanowski loves to spend time racing in his own personal sports car. He is trying to train as often as possible and would like to possibly race his car in one of the upcoming NASCAR events.
